A Doula Story is a short documentary that highlights the critical role of Black doulas in transforming maternal health outcomes. Featuring the dedicated work of Chicago Birthworks and doulas across the nation, the film sheds light on the power of culturally centered care, advocacy, and support for Black mothers. Through personal stories and expert insights, A Doula Story explores how doulas are addressing the Black maternal health crisis, empowering families, and reclaiming traditional birthing practices. Created in partnership with HealthConnect One, this film is a tribute to the healers, caregivers, and community leaders who are reshaping the future of birth work.
